Home Instead Senior Care Celebrates Hidden Heroes

Home Instead Senior Care has partnered with the Hidden Heroes campaign for nearly three years to provide no cost resources and home care guidance to military caregivers in need.  We were proud to be a sponsor for the recent Hidden Heroes Third Annual National Convening in Washington D.C., hosted by the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, and look forward to continuing our work to support caregivers of our military and veterans.

Earlier this year, leaders from Hidden Heroes attended the Home Instead Senior Care International Convention to promote and our partnership and discuss ideas about how to expand our relationship.

In 2012, Elizabeth Dole founded the Elizabeth Dole Foundation to support military caregivers after witnessing the hardships these spouses, parents, siblings, and friends of wounded, ill, and injured veterans and service members face while she was caring for her husband, Bob, during an extended stay at Walter Reed Hospital. Since the Foundation’s launch, she has led the way in exposing the military caregiving crisis and bringing crucial resources to help these hidden heroes.
