Purchasing an Existing Business

Looking to purchase an existing franchise

As a well-established franchise network with almost 650 franchises in North America, the Home Instead Senior Care network has offices in almost every region of the country. This can be either an issue or a benefit for prospective franchisees, depending on your goals and objectives.

Purchasing an Existing Franchise

If you are a successful business person who wants to take the next step in your career or someone who is looking to take an existing business to the next level, then purchasing an existing Home Instead Senior Care franchise may be the best option for you. Existing franchises routinely become available for a variety of reasons, including owners wishing to retire, owners who have decided they want to make a different career choice, or as the result of an owner's lack of compliance with the network's standards and goals. In any of these cases, the transfer of ownership must be negotiated between the existing owner and the new owner. You should expect that the franchise price will vary depending on a number of factors, including the business' current assessed value. And all financial agreements will be transacted between you and the existing owner.

However, in order to ensure the integrity of the Home Instead Senior Care network, the transfer of a Home Instead Senior Care office's license must be approved by the Home Office. Prospective new owners must complete the evaluation process, regardless of whether they are purchasing a new or existing franchise. In addition, you must pay a fee of $15,000 to the Home Office to transfer the franchise license into your name.

If you are interested in purchasing an existing Home Instead Senior Care franchise, we encourage you to search our list of available territories, but also to contact us. Often existing franchise sales are not listed on our site as owners are not yet ready to publically announce their intentions.

If you are not interested in purchasing an existing business, but would rather start your own in a unopened territory, we encourage you to search our available territories and explore these topics further:
